If you have a BSN, you can do the accelerated program. Otherwise, you can do the BSN program which is 4 years or the associates program which is 2 years.
If you want to work inpatient for example in acute care or hospitalist, you should do the acute care track. But if you want to work with stable adult patients in an outpatient setting, you can do adult gerontology primary care. Other options include family where you work with adults, children, and adolescents and psychiatry where you manage patients with mental health diagnoses.
No you should not because the program is full-time study and is vigorous. I would plan to work very part-time or per diem while in that program, and save money prior to the start of the program so I can focus on passing my classes with ease.
